Today, I am grateful for being in a
small town. Just when you think your days stinks and you want to
crawl in bed, something happens to give you hope.
I was unloading my shopping
cart on the belt at the grocery and my hips and back were giving
out.
I guess I was moving slow and
Gary noticed, the manager at my local IGA and he came over and
told me to go stand by the register and he unloaded the rest of my
cart for me.
I was SO grateful.
That one act brightened my day.

I am grateful today for the new members joining my little family.
They are a lovely fun bunch of people and adore my son. I am
also grateful that the weather was so beautiful this evening, the
food was great and everybody seemed to have a wonderful time.
Also, everybody pitched in and helped clean up before they left so
that I don't have a mess now.
I feel so blessed to have this list for the love and support I get
here.

I had another incident that made me feel good.
This one is not one that helped me, but someone else.
I walked next door to the gas station/store for a donut, I had a
craving.
The man in front of me had a 20 oz. bottle of coke and was trying to
pay
for it.
The new owner kept saying "I need 40 cents more"
The man obviously did not have 40 cents.
I gave the clerk 2 quarters and told him to just ring up the
coke.
The man took the coke and almost ran out.
I paid for my donut and left, then the man, well, he almost scared
me,
LOL. jumped out and said
"Thank you so much, my wife just had a baby at Southwest
general and all
she wanted when she woke up was a coke and I had not been home or to
the
bank and did not have my wallet. Thank you"
I am grateful that I had enough faith in my fellow humans to help
him and
not see him as someone trying to get something for free.
There are good people out there, once in a while we need a reminder
lol.

This was something that helped to brighten someone else's
day :)
I was walking into the fruit market last night after being at the
hospital and I held the door open for an elderly lady. She was
very thankful. Nothing much I know, but then I went inside and
pulled out a shopping cart....she was waiting to walk down the isle
where they are kept in rows of two, to get one for herself, so I
gave her the one I got and went back for another for myself. She
said "Oh my, thank you....aren't you just the nicest person
today" LOL!

That Hannah's new IV went in in one try tonight :))
Angele called and said the nurse did a great job and Hannah didn't
even cry :)
I'm also grateful that her hospital room is on the
lake side of the hospital and we get to see the sail boats going
by all day long. It's beautiful. I'll have to try and
get some pics to show you :)
Lots of gratitude also for Bob BBQing hot dogs for
supper tonight and I didn't have to cook LOL!
