What a sight for sore eyes!
Imagine, finally seeing Macy's Department Store after watching
"Miracle on 34th Street" all these years.
Again, these lights can't be appreciated in photos, but
you can take my word that they are spectacular!
This is from across the street, on our way from the
Empire State Building. They are only a couple blocks
away from each other.

Unfortunately, Macy's
reputation for being an upper priced store, is sad but
true.
Even with a 30% off sale,
after visiting all the floors, all we were able to
purchase were black carry all bags that have 'Macy's New
York' embroidered on the front. We got these for $19.99
each.
Do you know that the upper 4 or 5 floors of the store
actually still have the original wooden escalators
running?
We were amazed at what good condition they were in.
