Dianne & Her Brother
|
Our dear friend Dianne suddenly lost
her best friend and husband Art today, September 26th, 2006.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Di and her
family.
I'M FREE
Don't grieve for me for now I'm free,
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took His hand when I heard Him call,
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I found that peace at the close of the day.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah yes, these things I too will miss.
But be not burdened with times of sorrow,
For I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full. I've savored much,
Good friends, good times and loved ones' touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your ears and share with me.
God wanted me now. He set me free!

Melody & Everett
Melody with baby grandson Jerome & granddaughter Makayla!
|
I was diagnosed with FMS in 2000. Actually before that the first
time but did not take it seriously before. I am now on
disability and have been for about 3 years now.
I am 45 yrs old. I have a wonderful hubby who is also a good
friend (Everett). Between us we have 3 children and 7
grandchildren. We have guardianship of one (Makayla) and we're
trying to get another one (Jerome). They are brother and sister.
The one we have is a strong and healthy little girl and the one
we are trying to get has some medical problems. He has Cerebral
Palsy and some apnea episodes and I am not sure of what else.
Oh, and our dog Suzie. She is a Yorkshire terrier. She is about
10 yrs old.
My hobbies are reading, sewing, my grandchildren, spending time
doing family things and visiting with my friends either on the
computer or in person.
My occupation before I became so bad that I could not work
anymore was taking care of senior and disabled adults. I loved
doing that kind of work. I also took care of my mother for 4
years before she died.
It has been a huge adjustment for me to not be able to work
anymore but I figure God knows what he is doing because it was a
relatively short time later that we first got my granddaughter.
My hubby and I are considering doing foster care. We both find
we enjoy the children and both have been asked over several
years to do it before but both of us had reasons why we could
not do it before. Now we are coming to a point in our lives
where we would like to give it a try now.
