I call this my
Checkerboard Garden.
A combination of path and flower
bed all in one. When I need more
flower bed space, I'll think of
anyway to get it! |

This archway replaced
my old twig archway that the snow demolished
a couple of years ago. |
A little bit of color
added to a quiet corner with some old dresser
drawers. This was early in the
summer. By August the drawers
were overflowing. |

The lower branches of
this spruce
tree required a good trimming in
2003, so I started a
hosta & gnome area that will
take a few years to fill in. |
Early spring by the
small stream bed flowing into my main pond. During the summer
these beds will be full of blooming perennials. |
