Perhaps I shouldn't have put Sarg
under Odds & Ends, but he
 certainly doesn't fit under
              wildlife. He's our 118lb
               lap-dog...definitely nothing wild about him.

              March 22, 2007
Due to a degenerative spinal disease, our beloved Sarg is
now at the Rainbow Bridge. He was such a loving, smart dog and
              a great friend.

A touch of color beside the driveway.
            Nothing much grows
under the huge lilac trees, so I love to add a
            beautiful hanging
fuschia each year. The bird bath is a handy water
            supply
 to place fallen blooms.

Being reminded of the threat of West
              Nile Virus continually
in the news, I decided not to have any
              still water in the yard.
So, a new use was needed for one of my
              plastic birdbaths.
I knew with so little soil, it would dry out quickly.  I thought some
Hens & Chicks would be the perfect
              plant.

Another hanging basket under my lilac
            trees.

A newly dug bed (June 2003). As if I
              need another
 excuse to buy more plants!

A new sitting area in front of the main deck.
This area was hard to plant, so I decided to sit instead.
