Coleslaw
6 cups shredded cabbage
(you can purchase it in grocery stores already shredded)
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup oil
2 tsp celery seeds
Place cabbage in large, heat proof
bowl. Bring sugar, vinegar, oil and celery seeds to a boil and boil
for one minute. Take off heat and let cool for 10 minutes. Pour over
cabbage and mix well. Refrigerate and keep mixing every hour or so.
You can drain the excess dressing after the cabbage has been soaking
for 6-7 hours. This is a restaurant recipe and stays in the fridge
for up to 3 weeks. |
