an association with Louise for a number of years. This
association role has been while Ms. Portelance was Chair
of the Children's Services Cooperative as well as her
recent tenure as Chair in leading the
creation of the Children's Community Network. As
well, Ms. Portelance has served and continues to serve
as a member of the Board of Directors of the Children's Aid Society of the
Districts of Sudbury and Manitoulin. In my opinion, she has
proven to be a dynamic advocate on behalf of our community's children. She
is articulate, astute and forthright in

I wish to thank you for the privilege and honor of writing a
testimonial for Deputy Mayor Louise Portelance .
I admire Louise for her willingness to put her name in the ring to run for
mayor of the City of Greater Sudbury. I have been acquainted with
Louise for approximately three years. As a Board member of the Children's
Aid Society, Louise has always been very voicefull in her approach to
issues that concern children in our community.
Louise Knows how to get the job done, she is not afraid to tackle issues
that affect our city and its people .
When Louise undertakes important projects she completes them with
excellence.I have know Louise to be more than honest in all of her
dealings at city level. As a councillor on municipal affairs, I have
observed Louise to always mean what she says and follows through with a
great deal of tact.
I am very confident that when Louise becomes mayor of the Greater
City of Sudbury she will have the presents of mind and energy to do what
is needed to make Sudbury a better place to live and work.
