Students From Notre Dame du Rosaire Work For Their Class
Trip
Over 50 Grade 8 students
from Notre Dame du Rosaire will be heading to Toronto for their annual
graduation trip in a few short weeks. Madam Waltenburry and Madam
Sequin, the two teachers who will be accompanying the children will
venture into the great south for three days and two nights to mark the
end of the elementary segment of the education program for the boys and
girls who attend their classes. But before the good times came the hard
work, as shown in the photo. One cold, blustery Saturday morning, the
students took part in one of their many fund-raising ventures - a car
wash at the Val Est Mall. Dozens of residents stopped by to have the
students scrub their vehicles clean in support of their efforts. It is
good to see that these children were willing to do their part to raise
money for the trip. Too often today you find young people with their
hands outstretched, expecting to be given everything on a silver
platter. Not so with the students from Notre Dame du Rosaire. Their
labours will surely seem all worth it once they board the bus to begin
their three-day tour in Toronto. |
