“Cooking
has always been a passion of mine,” claims Claude Denis, owner of Le
Rendez-Vous Family Restaurant in Hanmer. “So when I had the opportunity
to open my own restaurant, I decided that I would offer something
different which would appeal to families.”
In fact, Le Rendez-Vous Family Restaurant, located beside the Medical
Lab on Notre Dame Avenue in Hanmer, has become a big hit with local
residents since opening in April. The menu offers a wide selection which
appeals to people of all ages, and the all-day breakfast really hits the
spot. Many visitors keep coming back just for another cup of the special
coffee which is brewed in Quebec.
The main dining room can hold up to 40 people, offering an assortment
of comfortable booths and tables, many with a window view. There is even a
separate room for groups of up to eight who wish more privacy. The
restaurant is smoke-free and alcohol-free, catering to the families and
people who wish to dine in a relaxing, intimate atmosphere.
Le Rendez-Vous Family Restaurant is available for exclusive private
functions Monday to Saturdays after 8 p.m. and Sundays after 3 p.m. If you
are planning a family party, or if your organization is looking for a
place to hold a dinner meeting, the staff of Le Rendez-Vous Family
Restaurant will be pleased to provide you with a customized catered meal
or you can choose directly from the menu at regular prices. There is no
other charge for the use of the restaurant! You are also welcome to apply
for a special occasion permit for your function in order to provide your
own alcohol. This service has proven to be very popular, especially around
Christmas time.
Le Rendez-Vous Family Restaurant is open Monday to Saturday from 7 a.m.
to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. You can either drop in or call
for reservations, but either way, you can be certain that your first visit
will not be your last!
