Valley East Vipers Clinch Second Place
| The Valley East Vipers of the Northern Ontario Elite
League clinched second place on Friday August 3rd with a 8-3 victory
over the Sudbury Lakers. Pitcher Travis Babe threw a complete game 5
hitter and never walked a batter, also the runs against him were
unearned. With the victory the Vipers record is 7-8 and now travel to
Sault Ste Marie for Northern Elite League Playoffs for a double
elimination knock out format. In the Soo they will play the third place
Timmins Whiskey Jacks (4-11). The first place Soo Blacksox (15-0) will
host the fourth place Sudbury Lakers (4-11). |
