Trouble
Being Experienced By Private Pension Plans Is A Trend We
Must Watch Carefully
Senior federal regulators have warned Finance Minister
Jim Flaherty that the financial health of many private
pension plans is worsening. It appears as if some
pension plans may even be given permission to reduce
benefits that were previously promised to retirees.
Apparently almost 72% of private pension plans were less
than fully funded as of June 2005. To show how many are
close to the limit, just six months earlier only 53%
were in that position. For

2006 Is All About Divisiveness - This Was A Predictable
Result Of Amalgamation From The Very Beginning
There is absolutely no way that ELECTION 2006 is going
to avoid the issue of "diviseveness". This was
something that could have been predicted by any 8th
Grader, and should have been obvious to everyone who
supported amalgamation. Now, after five dismal years, it
is time to "drop the gloves" and engage in
battle. The time has come to stop dreaming that we can
possibly ever adopt a "One for all and all for
one" philosophy when it comes to the City of
Greater Sudbury. For

“I
Just Wish They’d Go Home”
“What is wrong with the younger
generation today?”
Ask any adult that question
and inevitably the answer will boil down to the fact
that, in general, kids just seem to have a serious lack
of respect today.
