April marks the beginning of the Canadian Cancer Society’s annual fundraising campaign, Daffodil Month, where more than 40,000 volunteers across Ontario join together to raise money to help fight cancer. The Forester's 1st Annual National Big Swim for Arthritis will take place across the Nation from April 21 to 24. Valley East's Christine Brosseau is training at the Howard Armstrong Centre in hopes of swimming 200 laps of the pool to earn a gold medal for her efforts. For more on this story>>>>

Greetings! I am a level three CHA referee in the branch of HNO (Hockey Northwestern Ontario) for 7 years now. Recently the OFSAA "AAA/AAAA" Boys High School provincial championships were held in Fort Frances Ontario. I was invited to do lines at the games over the course of three days. If we were "good enough" we were asked to continue on into the quarter finals.
