Valley East Wave's Jamie Ellerton Qualifies For Junior Nationals

The next big event for the members of the Valley East Waves will be the Swim-a-thon to be held on April 1. All swimmers, including Michelle Leger, shown in the photo, will be approaching friends, neighbours and businesses for support. The Waves will be attempting to swim 200 lengths of the pool in under 2 hours to help raise money to offset expenses of the club.

Back in the pool, Jamie Ellerton, Eric Dupuis and Karly Roberts all made the long trip to Nepean during the first weekend of March to represent the Valley East Waves Swim Club at the Junior Provincial Short Course Championships. Ellerton finished in 11th place in the 200 metre Back stroke to qualify for the Junior Nationals which will be held later this summer.
