The Chain of Office which was worn by Mayor John Robert during his 15 years as head of Council, was officially retired and returned to the Knights of Columbus Council 5005 during a special ceremony at the final council meeting held on December 19. It was then turned over to the Heritage Committee to be kept as part of the historical archives, which will be assembled to commemorate the Centennial of Valley East.
