The
soccer complex at the Recreation Centre was the focal point for over
1100 players on 66 teams as the Valley East Soccer Club held its annual
playoff weekend on August 19 & 20. Coaches Gisele Haines, Sue
Beaudry and their Under-8 Coed Technatronics Club celebrate with water
balloons, squirt guns and high fives following their gold medal victory
over Teaser’s Hairstyling. They were one of the eleven teams to take
home gold, but all 1100 players left with at least a participation medal
to commemorate one of the most successful soccer seasons ever in Valley
East.
Special thanks went out to Moncion’s Your Independent Grocer for their ongoing generous donations.
