With Christmas just a couple of weeks away, the merchants of the Hanmer Valley Shopping Centre are definitely in the giving mood! Besides the already low prices on everything you could ever want to purchase for those special persons in your life, you can now enter the Christmas Shopping Give-A-Way for a chance at one of three fantastic prizes. The draw will be made on Monday December 18, on the Q-92 Mayes and Mel Show at 8:45 a.m. One lucky winner will be chosen from among the ballots cast to receive a $1000 shopping spree - just in time for the holiday! Winners of the second place shopping spree prize of $500 and the third place shopping spree prize of $250 will also be selected at that time. Ballots can be obtained from any of the merchants in the mall. No purchase is necessary. Just stop in for a visit, look around and fill out a ballot. However, mall visitors are finding some great deals this year as they take care of their Christmas shopping list at the Hanmer Valley Shopping Centre. Don’t be surprised if you spot that perfect gift while you are filling out your ballot for the Christmas Give-A-Way! This year it would be an excellent idea to stop first at the Hanmer Valley Shopping Centre and save yourself a lot of time and trouble filling up Santa’s bag.

And speaking of Santa, make sure your child colours the special page in this week’s issue of The VISION and then drop it into Santa’s Mail Box at the Hanmer Valley Shopping Centre. One hundred children who leave a coloured picture with Santa will be invited to attend a special ‘Lunch With Santa’ on Saturday, December 16 courtesy of Buddies’ Restaurant. The boys and girls will meet with Santa and enjoy a magic show afterwards. Food Basics will be handing out wonderful treats to the kids as well. This event is being sponsored by the Hanmer Valley Shopping Centre, The VISION Paper, Buddie's Restaurant and Desjardins Food Basics. Parents will certainly appreciate the opportunity to drop off their kids with Santa and then spend an hour or so going through the stores for those last-minute specials.
