Dr. Larry Hoscheit, shown in
the photo with the rest of his staff at the Val Caron Animal Hospital on
Hwy. 69N in Val Caron, has been providing professional healthcare for
small animal pets in and around Valley East since 1988. The staff
members include, from the left: Christine Wissell (Animal Health
Technician), Ellen Hoscheit (Bookkeeper), Dr. Hoscheit; Louise Philion
(Animal Health Technician) and Lynne Methe (Receptionist). Dr. Hoscheit was raised on the Canadian Prairies, but upon graduation he
took up brief posts in Espanola and Sudbury before he purchased the Val
Caron Animal Hospital. Dr. Hoscheit and his wife have been members of
the community ever since and the Val Caron Animal Hospital has developed
a reputation for animal health care and service. The Val Caron Animal Hospital provides a range of medical and surgical
services including vaccinations, spays, neuters, examinations,
dentistry’s, bone, joint, and soft tissue surgery, radiographs
(X-rays), blood work, emergency services, parasite control, client
education, nutritional consultation, prescription diets, behavioural
consults and referrals to specialists. “Regular vaccinations and veterinary care are important for your
pet’s health and well-being,” explains Dr. Hoscheit. "Many pets
are considered and treated as members of the family, just like a child.
Research is now showing that pets can help people live a happier,
healthier and longer life." The Val Caron Animal Hospital is open Tuesday to Saturday at 9 a.m. It
remains open until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday; until 7:30
p.m. on Tuesday, and until 3:30 on Saturdays. It is closed Sunday and
